No disrespect intended, but grain rates are very marginal. A few cents per bushel will send it down the highway rather than by rail. Why do you think WATCO lost the business? They placed surcharges on top the BNSF rate division among other factors. I respect your views, but time will tell. What I meant by demurrage is how it is billed. The Rule 11 carrier has to handle more billing issues than the division carrier. This takes more resources no matter how you cut it.
