If I hadn't been through that yard many times on an engine, driven out to it on behalf of a friend to inspect some Blunt trucks adjacent to the old engine house, and seen where the SP electric tracks had been, I would be very inclined to agree with you. The retirement community isn't on the entire site of the yard, just parts of it.
