I certainly agree that in urbanized ares the trains would operate over conventaional trackage or adjacent to freeways, etc.
In the high speed locations the trains will need to operate on a segregated track such as this random image from the Internet.
It would appear the freight track is at least 50 feet away and its appearance suggests a slow speed operation where a derailment would be unlikely to encroach on the passenger trackage.
