Thanks for that great photo. I lived in San Francisco for a few years in the late 60's and early 70's and rode the N Judah to work almost every day.

In regards to the motorman flooring the N Judah through the Sunset tunnel, I remember that experience, it was like riding a sd40-2 at 25 mph on 56 lb rail. You were rockin and rolling and not sure where you were going. I had a friend who decided to run through the Sunset tunnel one day. Of course a streetcar came along and he had to duck into one of the side cutaways. He was a bit strange, but then we were living in San Francisco!
