I'd say most all the ATK routes I've been on have segments which are more scenic than other parts of the route. Coast Starlight has the coastline between Oxnard and SLO, and the Cascades in Oregon. Empire Builder has the Rockies (with a lot of nuthing coming across N. Dakota and Montana). Capitol Ltd has the rivers from Pittsburgh to DC. Zephyr has Donner Pass and the glorious canyons in Colorado (Ruby, Gore, Glenwood) The Sunset and Chief have a lot of open space but nothing like the areas mentioned above.
