Transbay Terminal (in the old days)

The URLs denote the Transbay Terminal many years ago. This picture gives a pretty good view of the main building and approach ramps that have to be dismantled over the next eight months.
It is too bad that CALTRAIN could not have used the structure. Each platform for each of the original six tracks was about 760 feet in length.

The second URL depicts trains and 3-lane vehicular operation on the Bay Bridge lower deck.
It was great fun while it lasted and Bay Area commuters had three railroad companies to choose from while commuting, in the beginning..
