I guess it does depend on luck. I can see how it could be different for a lot of people.. I guess that is why I love railfanning at the Amtrak station in Hanford, CA... All they got there is a couple of Ticket Agents, and they are VERY friendly. Plus, I am always out of the way and never put myself into a spot where I could be putting myself or others in harm, or in the way or anything like that..
