Yeah, but what about the other shortlines?

There's a saying I use over and over again when reading the news, "if the media gets it right 40% of the time, they're doing pretty good."

As the other post noted, the "reporter" called it McCleod, not McCloud. Beyond that, that paper is famous for taking info from government sources without checking their facts. How else to keep access to local pols? All the stats in the article are either false or at least overstated.

Leaving that aside, I was truly interested in seeing people favorite shortlines, so I will start with the obvious ones (that have better scenery than the V&T, for sure!)

Durango & Silverton
Cumbres & Toltec
(while not so famous, better scenery) Skunk Train
Smoky Mountains
East Broad Top

But I must be missing an obvious "famous shortline," I would love to hear other's input, please!
