Well,until about two years ago things were pretty bad but there was a major "come to revival" meeting in August ((I think) of '08 and UP was told to stop stabbing ATK and so they started paying attention (here on the Coast Starlght in particular) but the economy downturn also cut down the number of freights so here on the coast, where there is considerable timetable padding, the southbound Starlate has been getting into Salinas about 20+ minutes early. As it did today when we went down to greet friends who were riding from PDX to LAX. I don't know what is happening on the CZ route between Oakland and etc.
