I was in Winnemucca today when number 5 arrived at 1:15PM-- 7 1/2 hours down. Got to talk to the outbound crew who had a long layover in Winnemucca. Train was 2 hrs late out of Chicago, then the usual slow orders in Iowa due to the recent flooding. One wonders how long it will take to get BNSF's Ottumwa sub back in good order.
Also bringing up the markers were the 5 PVs that have been wandering the country.
Train had to be serviced in Winnemucca. Retention tanks on the ATK cars had to be emptied, and the PVs had to be watered.
