I was on WB No. 5 on July 26-27 from Denver. We departed Denver 1 hour, 26 minutes late, the train having arrived late due the recent weather issues and track repairs between Chicago and Nebraska (probably the Illinois and Iowa weather-related issues).

We made up time overnight between Salt Lake City and Winnemucca, where we were only 56 minutes late departing. However, a few miles west of town, we struck and killed a cow, so we were told. So we lost another several minutes, departing Reno 1:23 late. We lost a couple more minutes enroute through the Sierras, but then made up time and departed Sacramento only 51 minutes late. We continued to make up time across the well-padded schedule in the Central Valley, departing Davis only 37 minutes late and arriving at Emeryville at 4:37 pm, only 27 minutes late.
