This apparently affected one of the late trains:

I was on the CZ the day before and it was five hours late into Denver. It was the old Iowa-slow-order trick followed by a dead crew which didn't get relieved when the crew van was disabled after hitting a deer. I guess, after much wrangling by Amtrak a deadheading engineer ended up working until they could get a crew.
