I also had the chance to run the 3 back in the day. Well not run but Pete Rogers gave my first lessons as a fireman. We ran from the yard to the beach for a couple of hours. And I think we had one of Eddy Chases five chime SP whistles. I remember blowing it next to the bridge and enjoying the echo it made. I am not sure who else was there, but Tom you may have been. (First thing to go when you get old is the memory, but I don't remember the second.)

I do know a fun time was had by all and I am glad the engine is being save.
