Yea -- WHY ??? Lind to Marengo, then EwePee to Spokane I could almost understand, but then why not relay the SP & S line instead ??? Besides, most of the Milwaukee Road line from Warden East to Tekoa reverted to private ownership after the bankruptcy. The stretch along Rock Lake is zealously guarded by the private landowner, forcing the state Dept. of Natural Resources to reroute the John Wayne Iron Horse Trail along local roads in this area.
