Yea, really. Any town that hosted one of the state's only at - grade crossings of 3 major railroads, plus 2 really cool shortlines, was alright in my book.
Apparently they never looked at Scranton, PA., my dad's hometown. What a hole; an old coal mining town that hit its' peak in 1925. Several buildings have collapsed into those coal mines over the years. My last 4 visits there were to bury relatives. I remember, upon landing at Avoca Airport, when the lone flight attendant on our puddle - jumper made the announcement that "... the local time is..." , my sister replied "1945". And she wasn't talking about military time.
