PLA has this interesting "historic" photo on their website showing an early view of the Clover Valley #4, I don't see an extended height oil tank. In later photos of the #4 you can see rivet lines on the lower portion of the oil tank, but the upper part appears welded. Could the logging railroad have modified the fuel tank at some point?
