Chinese log exports are taking off. They only want the best, straight grained, de-barked, few knots. They look like telephone poles of 50 years ago. One local mill shut down because he can't buy logs. If the railroad were running this might be a good thing, but local truckers are starved for any work and these logs are processed and loaded at the landing. Trucks carrying the export logs are easy to spot on the highway because the logs look so clean.
