Amtrak Test Train

Got it through the grapevine yesterday that Amtrak is sending a test train to the Pacific Northwest to conduct Postive Train Control testing. The word is that the test train consist left L.A. yesterrday (4/14) as part of the NB Coast Starlight, and that the testing was to take place on the BNSF Stampede Pass line.

Railfans, keep your eyes open and your scanners loud.
