All the Milwaukee Road Lines West branch lines were UN - electrified, except for the 1st mile of the Lewiston, MT., branch out of Harlowton, and a few miles of electrified trackage in Great Falls that pre - dated the rest of the system by city ordinance. Also, the 'branch' from Black River to Seattle, WA.,was not electrified for some 10 years after the rest of the Coast Division, due to weak traffic levels. Milwaukee considered Tacoma its' Western terminous.
