Well, Hunt and Berhans (sp?) received two loads of grain Friday. Do they have a contract? It has repeated several times in several newspapers that Standard Structures is inending to use the railroad. 5 customers is 2 more than I heard, so sounds good to me. The McCloud lasted what, 20+ years on half that many customers with twice as much RR to maintain. As for the Modoc Northern, didn't they bring quite a few new/old customers to the railroad and increase carloadings? Lack of traffic was never the MNRR's problem. Mismanagement and squandered money/bounced checks was.
