While I support the landowners in this fight I don't think that they will win. The best they can do is to get a fair payment from the state for the land. With good stats and arguments the compensation can be increased. My family has been in California for one hundred and fifty years and we have fought this battle many times and have always have been forced to sell the land or grant an easement. This has been for both ag and commercial land in both southern and northern California.
