Six wheel trucks are required in order to distribute the weight of the car over a greater distance. Not sure what the weight of a "heavyweight" narrow gauge coach is but might not meet the axle loading restrictions on the particular line over which operated.
Therefore four-axle trucks are most likely appropriate. You don't use six-axle trucks unless you have to due to their longer wheelbase and curve wear considerations.
