Re: UPRR Dispatcher Question

Most days, the Dispatchers cover their own assigned territories, during off peak times and holidays, territories can be doubled up--easy to do with computers being used in dispatching. UP used to have a few dispatchers with split territories. At one time the Ayer Sub/Spokane Sub. dispatcher covered a territory in California as well and when traffic on the Ayer/Spokane Sub. picked up it was nearly impossible to contact the dispatcher from the Ayer/Spokane sub. The dispatcher territories were eventually realigned with Dispatcher 43 covering the Ayer/Spokane sub. and maybe something else, but clearly it's much easier to get the Dispatcher these days.
