Worked Barstow yard '98/'99 & no wye in there then. Any turning was done on the balloon track. Took 2 WB AOLs around it twice to become EBs back to the UP. Any water cars were kept in the local yard or in the old yard. BTW they took out every other track there. Too close to walk between the cars. Back in the day the switch crews walked on top of the cars anyway to give hand signals b/4 radios.
