Thanks Tom... very interesting.. Having lived in El Rancho.. suspect I know where you picked up a bit of food.. delightful rolled up tacos...Unfortunately much of the rail has been pulled up over the system.. And recent rumors of a major reconstruction appear to be just that..rumors.. However by the Progresso Cement plant, construction of a new 4 lane divided highway includes a nice new bridge over the ROW where it goes into a cut...There would seem to be no reason for such expense if it werent to preserve the ROW in anticipation of re-construction.... .. Beautiful shot of Guate City... almost always smog if not rain ..now and there is a 4 lane highway below the bridge..but the bridge still stands tho rail up to it is gone..
