I saw a map of railroads of the north coast at tonight's NWP Historical Society program in San Rafael.

There was a railroad of the Western Redwood Lumber Company which ran through Jenner and up the coast a couple of miles to Russian Gulch (not the Russian Gulch with the state park). Maybe that's what you found.
