The former Key underpass below the UP tracks now provides access to EBMUD's SD1 sewage treatment plant. For non-locals, EBMUD is the local water provider, East Bay Municipal Utility District. With that name you can see why everyone just calls it EBMUD.

The underpass at one time also went under a Santa Fe branch.
