Not just the Canyon anymore. The entire Service Unit. And actually it applies to any unit with less than 2500 horsepower, which would include the GP39-2's.

You might! Two of the ex-WP GP40-2's are currently assigned to local and yard service in the Roseville Service Unit - 9989 (ex-WP 3555) and 9992 (ex-WP 3558). The 9989 had been working out of South San Francisco and is now back at the Rosevile shop, while the 9992 is in the Milpitas area. However, the 9992 was in the consist of the MNPRV when it passed through the Canyon on November 5th. Three more are assigned to the Portland SU and one's on the LA SU. The other one is working in the Midwest.
