Warren Buffett has said nothing I know of, supporting the occu-crappers, but he does support raising taxes on "the rich" - even says HE should be taxed more. Blame George Soros for the occu-crappers.
I'd actually believe Buffett - IF he was already donating all that extra money to the government, in lieu of the taxes. But since that of course ain't actually happening; its' just all talk and no walk - political talk at that! - by a personal friend of Obama's.
But even if we should, the big trouble with raising taxes on "the rich", has always been: Just what do they mean by "rich"?
So far, in every single case to date, who actually ended up paying those "rich mans's taxes", was the middle class (especially white collar workers). That's the way the tax law always gets written (one example being the A.M.T.) - I wonder why it's ALWAYS mis-aimed. And all the while, the truly rich actually end up paying less; partly because those activities that are the most taxable - such as taking actual salaries, starting businesses, employing people, etc. etc., are all now avoided by the wealthy, or are no longer economically feasible.
And thus the blue collar worker takes it on the chin too - in the worst sort of way - no job! And I might add, no help either; as they invariable have just one dollar too many assets to actually "qualify" for any help, but still not enough assets to actually help themselves. They certainly are not getting what they were forced to pay for.
Middle income workers now pay a whopping 30% - 40% (Fed, State, & Local) of their wages to income taxes alone, even though those rates were supposedly aimed at the rich. Then they pay several thousand more in property taxes, parcel taxes, and another 10% or more in sales taxes; then there are myriad hidden excise taxes that add up to another sizable chunk. But they just plain ain't making enough money to be doing all that - and also spend enough to keep the economy going too.
Since it IS the great middle class of this country that actually drives the American economy; if they can't do it, it will NOT get done. It is already unsustainable as it is - never-mind adding one more straw to that middle class camel's back. So why do they keep on adding straws, even as the economy tanks and tanks! Are they stupid - blind - or just plain greedy to infinity. Or is it because of "Useful Idiots" such as those occu-crappers. -- ALL OF THE ABOVE!
Or is their agenda even more sinister than that - to destroy free enterprise and the middle class too. According to the writings of Karl Marx and some others of his ilk, that is exactly their strategic political perspective. So are Buffett, Obama, Soros, Reed, Palosi, etc, etc; all birds of the same feather?
I guess it's OK then, for you to get 'em mixed up, one from another! If you've seen one leftist - you've see them all!
