Depends on the locomotive. Cummins, Cat and Deutz are the most common.

As an aside, although not Gensets, UP will be assigning newly rebuilt SD59MX's 9910-9924 to the Roseville Service Unit for primary use on haulers and locals. These are SD60M's that are being repowered with low-emission 3000 h.p. EMD 12-719G3B-T2 prime movers. EMD calls the units "SD32ECO's."
