Shed 9 was / is an important crossover, convienently covered from winter snows by a Interstate 80 overpass. Shed 9 is just East of Emigrant Gap station, while the actual gap between the American & Yuba River valleys, used by early day wagon trains, is located just behind the rear of the train captured so beautifully by Drew.
