Shame 3201 or 3207 didn't live long enough to be saved from the Dinosaur hunters.
I guess that the fuel 'sipping':) 20 cyl 645 and the assumption that the fuel tank must of been bulk-headed for a water tank for the steam generator. That alone must had limited the range of SDP-45's as compared to SD-45's. Add in SP's lack of maintenance back then, and the units probably scrap by the time they showed up in Boise
Would of been cool to see one assisting 2472 or 4449 on an excursion this day in age.
Makes me wonder if you could of fit a diesel generator in place of the steam generator for electrical and heating.
