I didn't see any mention of UP spending any money on the project, only CORP possibly throwing a pittance at it. There's a reason SP wasn't able to sell the line off. I had a good chuckle at the mention of air freight in the article, as though there is any connection to bulk timber products. Also, of course the timber products firms are more than happy to "financially back" a push for tens of millions in tax dollars to effectively subsidize their shipping costs vs. trucks.
