This round of projects (Connect Oregon IV) has much less funding than the previous ones. Look for only highly visible projects backed with lots of ass kissing of the bureaucrats to get even token consideration.

This is our fourth (and LAST)time to get our project of rebuilding the Molalla River bridge rejected and we've only asked for less than $500k. CORP, Coos Bay Rail Link and even UP/BNSF have been getting the big money when they (UP/BNSF) can well afford the projects being funded by public money.

Fortunately OPR is on good terms with our banker and have been able to fund much of the bridge work in house to keep the line in operation.
