One of the Red Electric substations is still remaining in downtown Portland. Located at the corner of SW Jefferson and 1st Avenue, the building now houses a an eatery and several types of offices. The developer has left the traveling overhead crane in place and it can be seen through the windows on the 1st Avenue side.

There are still a number of OE and Red Electric substations in existence. Probably the most viewed is the OE substation at Tonquin which can be seen from Tri-met's "WES" commuter trains.
