I haven't been on that part of the rec trail for 2 or 3 years and honestly can't say what was /is going on with the caboose. I knew that the green REA car hadn't been used for "visitor center info" for quite awhile but paid no attention to the role of the caboose.
So I guess we'll just have to wait to find out its fate. Someone says it is a WP caboose so maybe the Feather River group would be interesting in it. But of course we don;t; know if it is being "offed" since it wasn't mentioned in the KSBW piece last night. I am sure that Sam Reeves or many others who post here will delve into this and come up with answers as to what is going on other than the REA car going to Salinas. Stay tuned!! :-)
