Although the RR Museum is not the best reason for opposing the "development" of the rail yard, it IS one.
Thomas and the City have sold Amtrak passengers down the river on this one. If they have their way, the station will be less than useful if it stands, and they seem to be hell-bent on tearing it down.
Sacramento is now the second busiest station in the state. It needs improvement to be sure, but destroying it in the name of progress and replacing it with a bunch of trailers or something equally squalid, is not the answer.
Other places have redeveloped rail facilities and kept and expanded their station. Sacramento could be one.
