That is really, really sad -- that EWG's SD-45s
will soon be gone from the roster and may
even be -- shudder! sob! -- scrapped!
(I know, SD-45s are or can be fuel hogs, and
those wonderful old locomotives are not in any
way Tier Anything compliant, but, still.....I will
miss knowing that they were still alive and
working for their supper up north.)

Anyone know if there are any other 20-cylinder
SD-45s still operating anywhere in revenue service
with all 20 cylinders still functioning? Or is this
truly the end of an era?
