And this helps to explain why he's still at the helm. He's the type of guy the people at DOT and Capitol Hill want. People who are really knowledgeable and truthful, such as David Gunn, have a tendency to make their superiors (Norman Mineta) look stupid, and that's the death knell in Washington DC.
