Gang,

While heading out on to the Palouse today (without camera, as luck would have it, and under time constraints as well) I headed S on HWY 27. Nearing Freeman I saw the UP local to Mica. But it had 3 heavyweight passenger cars in tow! The crew stopped to head over to the convenience store to get something, and I asked them where the cars were headed. They said to St. Maries! (This was about 1300 today) On the way back home I stopped in Plummer (about 1600) to see if something had laid over and there was nothing there. So they (St Maries RR) must have taken them home already! I'll see if I can get some pics this weekend...

Anyone know if they're considering some kind of tourist RR? It's a long drive up to Ione...
