I live about a mile directly south of the main where there is a crossing, and about two miles east of the Hillsboro station and all on the main, no spurs, sidings, etc.

Unless the wind was doing something strange last night and directing all the sound to the house something was up. I don't know what the timing between the trains was but there were times that I could hear two different trains at the same time, with different tuned horns and pretty darn close.

Sure, there are a lot of crossings here, but still, unless they were running back and forth between St Marys and Hillsboro there was definitely a lot of activity last night.

Looks like P&W 2317 was the last out of here, just getting into Tigard a few moments ago according to the radio with the dispatcher trying to get a power derail to operate correctly.
