When in Sacramento, Bruce's was a must. And I bought things there! Must admit there was a lot of hangers on now and again but this is also what train shops are about - the toy train hobby.

Bruce has been there for years now and a shame to see him depart; maybe he wants to retire. Another great shop years ago was Gunnings, in San Anselmo. Are they still there? Both these shops were successful in pre internet days and is another example of how buying habits have changed and not neccessarily influenced by the recession.
