I was only able to visit Bruce's once, during the 2010 Espee Tech convention in Sacramento. I left with a bag of stuff, and a good impression of the place.
Here in Seattle we have lost several good train shops in recent years; 2 of which were due to the owner retiring. Several other shops survive ( I believe ) because they do a brisk on - line business in addition to the walk - in business. Still, I do make sure to visit Whistle Stop Trains whenever I'm in Portland, OR. Their prices and selection are excellent, and there is no state sales tax in Oregon !!! ;-)
And to Topeka Dan, yes you were stirring up the pot and behaving poorly towards Matt K.; however as is the way with children there will be no apology will there ???
