The bottom line of the thread is one "educated" moron takes one part of an equation and skews the data through erroneous mathematics to overstate a minor problem.

Even if load-outs were not coated as previously stated, the train would not lose 125 lbs. of dust per mile for the entire trip, especially in inclement weather.

Do we as a society need to control pollution? Yes we do; but bad statistics make the majority decide to ignore problems because they don't believe what they're told as time after time the statistics are proven wrong.
