So if we assume that they were paying about a grand a day for each of their 4 leased cars, (not unreasonable)and we even say that everyone on board was paying the adult fare (obviously not true) you are basically saying that they barely paid for their lease expenses on a couple of the trips. As I said, They lost a TON of money on this. I hope they don't go the way of the Sierra, but their employees sure seemed pretty down on how little ridership they got. Especially considering how much money they must have spent on marketing for it. It seems awfully dumb to pay that kind of money for leasing cars which go out empty day after day. I guess if you just sold a railroad for 90 million bucks you get to wipe yourself with $100's
