The Superliners on the Canadian and North of Everett portion of the run a little slower than the Talgos, for the fact that the cars do not tilt on curves. It would be interesting to know the weight at the coupler in comparison to the two trains' makeup is different. This could help calculate if there is a temporary schedule adjustment while the Talgos are out of service on this route. Can anyone confirm this?

I have never seen the cabbage cars on these Superliner trains around here. One factor is that the location of the wye to turn around at Vancouver, BC is positioned very close to the station here, and an easy move to turn the train. I don't know where it turns at the other end of the run. Another thing to consider is that the cabbage car could be semi-permanently coupled to the train, and too much effort would be used to put it on to the Superliners temporarily.
