You are correct, there were two Santa Fe RDCs involved in the crash, the 191 and 192. Only the 191 has been preserved. I guess its understandable that only 5 RDCs ever operated in California since 2 of them (40% of the fleet) were involved in major accidents. It does appear that the Santa Fe did a better job of rebuilding their wreck-damaged units than the SP. Were the Topeka shops that much better than Sacramento's? (That oughta start the fur flying!)
