About 3-4 years ago a friend of mine did some consulting work for the power company in Utah to get some needed repairs done to their ex Nevada Northern SD7 #401, so it is presumably still alive and working until the carbon haters get them to shut down the plant.

The museum at Ely ended up with the xSP SD9's and kept one. [history.nevadanorthernrailway.net] (The 70 tons went to M&ET and are scrapped). [history.nevadanorthernrailway.net]
