I think the problem here is poor signal spacing and insufficient stopping distances. Whatever. My question is how the hell are you supposed to comply with these HER's if the intermediate signals are on a curve and cannot be seen far enough in advance? Also, these are westbound only speeds. The mileposts increase westward down the speed chart. What's the point of slowing to 55 MPH at mp 865.1 when you can immediately increase to 70 MPH if signal indication allows it?
Looks like Omaha logic at its finest.
