The original poster of the thread clearly specified which board award number to search. It shouldn't be too hard to find it, but I was able to read it because it was emailed to me...also of interest, the BLE&T has posted the ruling at both Richmond and Fresno crew bases, all six pages of it.
The key factor in Alan getting his job back was that the carrier did not allow Alan the right to question the carrier's witnesses, and the carrier failed to download the voice tapes and blamed the 'laptop kept locking up'. The arbitrator felt obliged to award for the claimant because of the carrier's gross failure to follow long-established investigation/hearing procedures. It had nothing to do with talent, friends, work record, or anything but the carrier's idiotic procedure.
